Our Livestock At Showest Farm
You can't be called a farm without Farm Animals. In addition to our dogs, we also raise various animals. All of our animals serve one purpose or another.
What Is On The Farm?
Here is a list of what animals call Showest Farm their home.
Currently we raise registered Navajo Churro sheep. They are a Heritage Breed developed over a long time by the indigenous Navajo Native Americans. Navajo Churros are a multi purpose breed, who are sheared once a year for their unique Mohair Wool, are great producers of rich creamy milk and are also great for butchering for those who love mutton. Our sheep are also used to train our CAS to be great LGDs and our ACDs to herd. We plan to add another breed in the near future. We will start offering lambs in 2025.
Rabbits
We have decided to take a break from rabbits to redo our set up and start with better bloodlines. We plan to offer a variety of Angoras and a breed of meat rabbit (either Beverens of New Zealands) in the future.
Poultry
Of course we also have various poultry as well. We have Muscovy Ducks, Guinea Fowl and Various Breeds of Chicken. We do not currently offer any poultry for sale but plan to offer Muscovy Ducklings starting 2025 and possibly chickens, pending getting our NPIP certification.
We plan to add goats in the near future as well so keep an eye out!
