General Information

Health Guarantee: We offer a health guarantee on all of our puppies against Parvo, Distemper, Etc, as well as against life threatening genetic conditions. We guarantee puppies will never carry two copies of any genetic diseases. For Central Asian Shepherds we also offer a limited guarantee against hip and elbow dysplasia. Our adults are all tested for relevant genetic diseases, Hip and Elbow prelims minimum and behavioral issues.

Spay/Neuter Agreement: All puppies are sold on non-breeding contracts by default. Puppies must be spayed/neutered at 2 years old and will go on AKC Limited Registration only. Spaying or neutering prior to 2 years old voids our contract and any health guarantee. Studies have proven that premature altering causes developmental issues both physically and mentally and can lead to aggression, hip/elbow dysplasia, incontinence and more.

Breeding/Show Agreement: Some puppies may be available to homes who wish to show or breed. Any puppies on full registration must not be bred until 2 years old and health testing is completed. Health testing required varies by breed but for all breeds we have it includes at minimum, OFA Elbows at 2, OFA Hips at 2 (OR PennHip at 1) and OFA Cardiac. Puppies on full registration are available only to approved breeding homes and under contract. On puppies who are good examples of the breed and with correct temperaments are available with full rights.

Waitlists: We maintain a waitlist at all times for upcoming litters. We require a $500 deposit to be added to our waitlist, which will be moved from litter to litter until we agree on a puppy. I do not contact people who have reached out for puppies unless you are on our waitlist. The waitlist deposit goes towards the total amount of the puppy. Waitlist deposits count as a puppy deposit and is for people who want to be considered before others as we have litters. A deposit receipt is given when a deposit is received. A copy of our Waitlist Deposit Receipt can be viewed here.

Pricing: Our puppy pricing varies from breed to breed and litter to litter but in general; Australian Cattle Dog Puppies are between $1200 and $2500. Central Asian Shepherd Puppies are between $2500 and $3500. Each litter will have a price on their page once born.

Deposits: Deposits are for people who want to reserve a puppy/spot in a specific litter that is available and are not on our waitlist. Deposits are $500, payable through Zelle, Cash App, Apple Pay and Facebook Pay, as well as cash or check. Puppies are only available for deposit after our waitlist has decided if they want a puppy from this litter or not. A deposit receipt is given when a deposit is received. A copy of our Puppy Deposit Receipt can be viewed here. We do not accept PayPal or Venmo.

  • We offer shipping via ground, using a trusted transporter year round. It is a between $450 and $550 to most states.

  • We can also meet families at the Phoenix or Las Vegas Airport for $100 if you wish to fly in and take the puppy back as a carry on. We are looking for a new flight nanny to use.

  • From Oct 1st through May 31st, we offer shipping via American Airline Cargo for between $600 and $700 (breed dependent). This includes the flight, a crate that you get to keep, health certificate and our fee to drive to the airport.

Pickup Procedures: Puppies can be picked up starting at 8 weeks old; after they receive their first shots. We do not entertain puppies leaving before then. Puppies who are deposited on before 8 weeks old are expected to leave at 8 weeks old unless otherwise discussed. New families should contact us prior to 8 weeks old to schedule a time to pick up their new family member. Puppies who are not picked up by 9 weeks old will incur a $20 a week boarding fee, unless otherwise discussed. Boarding fee includes puppy care, socialization, training and additional vaccines and dewormings that may be required; depending on how long they stay. There is no boarding fee for puppies who are shipping.

Pickups are done in a public place only; either in the town of Ash Fork or others cities if arrangements are made. We can meet people in the Flagstaff or Prescott areas at no charge, or further for a fee of 50 cents a mile (mileage is calculated round trip). We will meet up to 3 hours away in most instances. We do not allow onsite pick ups. While we would love to allow our new puppy families to see where their babies were raised, at this current point in time we do not believe it is safe for us or our animals to do so. There are too many crazies around these days and we live in the middle of no where with no close neighbors. We work Monday through Saturday and are not home 12 hours each day so we would be an easy target for thieves. It is just safer to not risk our animals or ourselves.

Boarding: We will board puppies/dogs we bred for a fee. Puppies can stay up to 12 weeks old age to receive basic training and exposure to livestock. CAS puppies will live with our sheep full time if going to a LGD home. Puppies going to pet/show homes can be kennel trained and taught basic obedience. All puppies will be taught to walk on a leash and kept UTD on vaccines until leaving. Boarding for puppies is $20 a week.

We also offer boarding in our home for dogs and puppies who are from our kennel but have already gone to their new homes. Whether your family needs to leave town for a short time or just needs a safe stress free place during the holidays. Some people like the option to keep their dogs safe during fireworks. Dogs must be UTD on their rabies vaccine and the owner must supply dog food for their stay. We generally offer boarding for up to 2 weeks. Boarding for adults and older puppies is $20 a day or $100 a week.

Training: We offer basic training and/or exposure to stock for puppies/dogs from our kennel, as well as select dogs who are not. We offer training to walk on and off a leash, loose leash walking, come, sit, down stay, etc. Livestock guardian breeds who have completed their puppy shots can start training with our sheep as guardians. Having an older dog to teach and correct can make a lot of difference if you do not have a trained adult LGD at home. All dogs must be UTD on rabies. Dogs from our kennel receive discounted training. Dogs from other breeders will be considered on a case by case basis. Dogs who we feel will be a danger to us or our stock will be refused. No exceptions. Pricing and training offered is listed below. All courses are 6 weeks long and must be paid in full prior to coming. Boarding is included in the pricing but owners are expected to provide food for their stay. Dogs who are picked up before the course is complete are not eligible for any kind of refund. Dogs/Puppies from our kennel receive a $200 off discount off of each pricing. Dogs who have completed the course will receive a certificate.

  • Basic Obedience Training - Puppies 4 months of age or older and Dogs will be taught to walk on a loose lead and off leash if it is in their ability to do so (certain breeds may not be able to safely walk off leash). Basic commands will be taught including Sit, Down, Stay, Off, Leave It, Heel, Come, Go To Bed (Taught to go lay on a dog, in a kennel, etc. Can be personalized). Additional commands or special requests can be added depending on the complexity. They will be taught to load into a vehicle, either into a crate or elsewhere as desired by the owner. Puppies will be taught basic house manners, to allow brushing and to accept dremeling and clipping of their nails. Price is $1000.

  • Livestock Guardian Dog Basics - LGD BREEDS ONLY will start training with our flock. At first they will stay in a pen adjacent to our flock so that they can get accustomed to them at a distance and we can watch and see how they respond. Then they will get supervised visits with our sheep. If we are happy with the reactions, we will move them in full time. LGD training includes exposure to our poultry. Price is $1000

  • Combo Bundle (LGD and Basic Obedience Combined) - This is a training package including both of the above training courses, available to LGD Breeds Only. Dogs will have the same training and exposure to stock but will also get time away for obedience training. Great option for someone who wants to be able to take their dog off the property. Great for basic care needs such as the vet. Does not include basic house manners. Cost is $1800

Puppies 6 months of age and older who are herding breeds can start basic exposure to sheep. We do not offer stock training but can get them a solid start. This is not a full training course and therefore not priced the same. We offer a basic working aptitude test for $50. You will bring your dog to our property and the dog will be brought into a pen with the sheep. The dog is to be kept on a long line at all times. We will encourage the sheep to move and see how your dog reacts. This is an hour long session. We will give a certificate to any dogs showing working aptitude. Dogs who need to build confidence may come back for continued sessions. Dogs who have drive and confidence will be referred to another trainer. At this time we do not offer stock training. Dogs who are trained on stock must have a solid recall, down/sit and stay. We can help with that in our basic obedience courses. We do plan to offer stock training in the future.

Registration: Our litters are all registered with American Kennel Club. We do not send home the registration applications with the new family. Instead, we will register the puppy directly into your name and you will receive the AKC certificate in the mail. If you wish to receive a pedigree for your puppy, you may send us the money and will will order it when the litter is registered. It is $18 for pedigrees for CAS or $22 for pedigrees for ACDs. Due to CAS being an FSS breed, there is a delay from AKC to receive a pedigree and it will be received after and separate from the registration certificate. We no longer allow new families to pick out registered names due to the amount of puppies never registered. We decided on registered names for all puppies in the litter. This does not affect the name you decide to call your puppy at home and you may decide on whichever name you like. Litters will be registered and papers received after the final puppy from the litter has gone home. This means if we have unsold puppies until they are 3-4 months old, you will not receive paperwork until they have all found homes.

For Central Asian Shepherd puppies going with breeding rights, our dogs are also registered with UKC. We do not send home UKC paperwork to pet homes, as UKC policies state that only breeding stock is eligible for UKC registration. They do not offer limited registration like AKC does. As default, we do not register our litters with UKC, only AKC. If interested in UKC for breeding or showing purposes, we will register the litter at the buyer's expense. It is $35. It takes 8 weeks average for the UKC papers to come in the mail. You may also pay for rush services.

Colors: In the past we have bred for recessive genes in the ACD breed and had many litters of chocolates, slates, lilacs and creams. We are no longer breeding for these colors and instead will be striving for show quality dogs. We did keep some of our original lines and there is a possibility for these colors to still pop up in our litters. However, our breedings will be based off conformation, temperament and health alone. Our CAS are bred to standard colors only but we do have some fun, more uncommon colors such as tri, speckled and black and we plan to add a brindle soon.

Contracts: Here are copies of our contracts. They are for review only, please do not save and fill out. A printed and filled out copy of the contract will be provided at time of purchase. Links removed While We Refresh Our Contracts

Guardian Homes: Sometimes we will have puppies available to live in a "Guardian Home". Guardian Homes are a forever home for puppies we want to have breeding/show rights to. There will be a strict contract in place, which will be notarized to ensure it holds up in court in case of a breach of contract. Families who live within an hour and a half will be considered. This includes Flagstaff, Prescott/Prescott Valley/Chino Valley, Dewey, Paulden, Seligman, Kingman, Dewey, Mayor, etc. Puppies placed in guardian homes will be available at a discounted price. Family is expected to cover all costs of raising the puppy including routine vet care, food, etc. Family will not have this puppy desexed unless it is a medical emergency and even then, we must give the ok after a vet diagnosis. Family will be required to socialize the puppy and teach basic obedience, especially loose lead walking; or utilize a professional trainer to do so. Family must be willing and available to either take the puppy to shows as they are older, or allow us to pick them up and take them. Family agrees to keep us updated with monthly pics and allow us to visit at least once a month. Family must not stud out or breed this puppy*. We will cover expenses for showing, health testing, etc. Puppy will be registered in our name until they have produced 1-2 litters for us, at which time they can be spayed/neutered and placed in family's name. In the event the puppy does not pass health testing or there is another reason to not be breeding quality at 2 years of age, we will consent to having them fixed and papers can go in the family's name. Family will not be required to pay anything extra. If you are interested in being a Guardian Home please let us know

Co-Own Homes: We sometimes have a very nice quality puppy who we do not want to place as a pet only but also want to retain breeding rights for ourselves. In these instances, we will either look for a Guardian Home or we will consider a Co-Own Home. Puppies listed as being available to Guardian Homes may be available to Co-Own Homes instead. Similarly to our Guardian Home stipulations, a strict, notarized contract will be in place for puppies going on Co-Ownership. Co-Own Homes do not have to be within an hour and a half and we will consider homes in most states. Same with our Guardian Homes, Co-Own homes are required to keep the puppy intact unless a medical emergency. They are expected to also to prepare the puppy for conformation shows, including hand stacking, walking on a loose lead and socializing. Co-Own Homes agree to not breed the puppy until 2 years old after all health testing has been completed. Puppies on Co-Own are 50% off the Full Registration price for that litter. Co-Own homes are expected to cover the cost of shipping (if applicable) and all costs of raising the puppy including routine vet care, food, etc. We will split expenses with the Co-Owner for showing, health testing, etc. Puppy will be registered in our name as first owner, and the Co-Owners as secondary until the conditions agreed upon are met. Generally we will require 1-2 litters from a male dog, or 2 puppies back from a female before signing over full ownership to the Co-Owner. We may also consider taking the female for one litter instead, depending on how far away the Co-Own home is. In the event the puppy does not pass health testing or there is another reason to not be breeding quality at 2 years of age, the puppy must be fixed and the Co-Own home may place the dog in a new home, return them to us or keep them as a pet. We will offer a replacement puppy on the same contract as the previous at no charge, or we will refund the original purchase price of the puppy.

Stud Services: A few of our males are available at stud to approved outside females. To be approved, females must be the same breed and registered with AKC for Australian Cattle Dogs or with AKC or UKC for Central Asian Shepherds. They must also be a minimum of two years old and have the minimum health testing done for their breed (this info can be found on our breed pages). Females can come here for live breedings or side by side AI with a recent negative Brucellosis test. They can be dropped off and stay for a week or two (Boarding Fee of $20 a week applies on top of stud fee), or we offer shipped fresh chilled or frozen semen. Pricing is dependent on the male. We may consider a pup back depending on the female and distance. We do have a stud contract. A copy will be uploaded asap.

AKC will dual register CAS from UKC for only $35 and you will receive papers much quicker than UKC.

We also offer Shipped Frozen Semen for international breedings with females who are FCI, CKC (Canada), ANKC or KC registered.

Additional Information Specific to the Breeds can be found on their respective pages.
